Good to know your note taking habits. I am a compulsive note-taker as well. Carry upto 4 notebooks with me to work everyday to serve my varied needs :) Do follow Jillian Hess on Substack if you want to understand note-taking patterns of public figures from varied fields
Whoa -- you've shared a primer on note taking, thanks for sharing.
I maintain a digital journal for ideas (mainly in my phone's Notes app) and a physical one for a food diary where I record at the end of the day what I ate during the day!
This was such an engaging read, Abhishek! I had no clue about the three types of notetakers, so thank you for introducing me to that!
And you know about the physical vs digital journal? I maintain both. I just gave up. I couldn’t pick one, as you mentioned, each has its own pros and cons, so I decided to just maintain both.

I just followed Jillian. You inspire me to continue practise this habit. I am also trying to be more visual and colourful with my note taking now.

I love that. Keeping a record of meals is such a wonderful exercise to monitor your eating over time. I love digital journals for ideation.
