What is Education Coffee?
Education Coffee is 2xWeekly Newsletter on People, Ideas and Culture. Every week, I curate and send you the best resources from the Internet and the Substack community, on these topics right in your inbox. I also experiment with essays and long form writing inspired by people, ideas and culture in my life.
What is this Newsletter about?
In the first weekly edition of this newsletter, I will share five inspiring web resources that I have curated after hours of research to ensure that you have the best Education Coffee in your inbox each week. In upcoming editions, I will focus on sharing insights, notes and recommendations that I gather from people, ideas, books, films and podcasts that I engage with each week. You can read 150+ editions of this edition of the newsletter in the archives.
In the second weekly edition I will write a long form essay about a particular aspect of this world of people, ideas or culture that I want to explore further as a human being and student. This investigation includes essays on topics like art, libraries, schools, museums, universities, mental models, note taking, academic papers, play, learning, communities and more. You can read 10+ long form essays on these specific topics in the archives.
Why Coffee?
We all love a brimming hot cup of freshly brewed coffee each morning. It refreshes and energizes our minds. Similarly, it is important to energize and refresh our thinking with new ideas and stories about the world we live in today. This newsletter aims to curate those ideas and stories for you. This newsletter is your Education Coffee.
Who brews the Coffee?
It is curated by Abhishek Shetty, who spends a lot of his free time exploring resources on the internet. He is a Teacher turned Entrepreneur, Youtuber, Podcaster and Writer. He is building Learning Lab Media, Bookbond, Podshare. He loves creating videos on a Youtube channel called Teacher Tuber. He loves hosting an audio and video podcast called Learning Stories. He loves writing a 2xweekly newsletter on Substack called Education Coffee. Most importantly he spends a considerable amount of his free time reading and recommending other #SubstackNewsletters, sharing #SubstackNotes and making #SubstackLists. Here is one of his nicer photos thinking about how to write a third person introduction for his Substack newsletter at his favourite board games cafe.
He is curious about why we learn, how we learn and how we use what we learn in the real world. You can reach out to him on Twitter.
