#92 - Notes on Freedom, Technology and Threads
Education Coffee is a Newsletter on People, Ideas and Culture.
In each edition of this newsletter, I will share some inspiring web resources that I have curated after hours of research to ensure that you have the best education coffee in your inbox. In upcoming editions, I will focus on sharing insights, notes and realizations that I gather from people, ideas, books, films and podcasts. Please subscribe to this newsletter if you enjoyed reading this edition. This month I have taken up a #30DaySubstackChallenge. I want to challenge myself to write a newsletter everyday for the next thirty days. I have really enjoyed writing this newsletter and this is a way for me to build my skill set as a newsletter writer. I will go back to writing a 2xWeekly Newsletter in January 2025.
1. Learning from People
On Episode 37 of #LearningStories we chat with Siddharth Bothra (@napoleonfire) about achieving financhial freedom in India. Siddharth is a Chartered Accountant and Finance Professional with 6 years of experience in the industry. Apart from his day job, he is incredibly passionate about the stock markets. He writes a blog where he engages in fundamental analysis of listed companies called 'Investing in India'. He wants to help people build their financial acumen by learning how to invest in the markets. He is curious about how to achieve financial freedom in India and hosts two podcasts on Spotify to find answers to his questions that are called 'Vyapar' (Business) and 'Bazaar' (Markets). And he has a fire in his belly to keep learning new things.

3. Learning from Books, Websites and Blogs
I spend hours reading threads on X. Here is a list of my favourite X threads. Share a thread you have created or loved with me in the comments. An X thread is a series of connected tweets that is used to share information, tell a story, or develop an argument. Each post in a thread is linked to the previous and next tweet, creating a continuous post. X threads are useful because they allow users to go beyond the 280-character limit of a single tweet. Here is an ever evolving list of my favourite X threads. I will regularly update this list. Enjoy, for this is the best of X!
You can find this list on my Twitter or Blog.
4. Learning from Films, Videos and Shows
This film throws light on our relationship to technology and how A.I may affect our lives in positive or negative ways in the future. The protagonist is a social media influencer who gets her data analyzed by an A.I tool.
5. Learning from Podcasts and Music
Here are my sketchnotes on this interview between Naval Ravikant (entrepreneur) and Joe Rogan (podcaster). I learned about happiness, wealth creation, technology and the art of sharing opinions from this discussion.
