#91 - Notes on Actors, Memories and Festivals
Education Coffee is a Newsletter on People, Ideas and Culture.
In each edition of this newsletter, I will share some inspiring web resources that I have curated after hours of research to ensure that you have the best education coffee in your inbox. In upcoming editions, I will focus on sharing insights, notes and realizations that I gather from people, ideas, books, films and podcasts. Please subscribe to this newsletter if you enjoyed reading this edition. This month I have taken up a #30DaySubstackChallenge. I want to challenge myself to write a newsletter everyday for the next thirty days. I have really enjoyed writing this newsletter and this is a way for me to build my skill set as a newsletter writer. I will go back to writing a 2xWeekly Newsletter in January 2025.
1. Learning from People
Konkana Sen Sharma is an actor and director that has worked in over 50 films. She spoke about her filmography, love for coffee, parenting and favourite characters in this interview with the film critic, Sucharita Tyagi (who has amazing film reviews)
2. Learning from Ideas and Questions
3. Learning from Books, Websites and Blogs
This was a beautiful article by the podcaster and journalist
about how memories shape our identity, relationships, friendships and stories.4. Learning from Films, Videos and Shows
I love film festivals. My favourite festival is the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. It is organized in October each year. They have an active Youtube Channel with 400+ videos from past editions that includes interviews, trailers and film talks.
This is an interview from the 2023 edition with Mira Nair, a filmmaker and writer.
5. Learning from Podcasts and Music
Sahiba Bali and Rohan Joshi share thoughts on dating and adulthood in this episode of the Pee Room Conversations podcasts.
