1. Learning from People
On Episode 31 of #LearningStories we chat with Dr. Aakash Lengde. He is an orthopaedic surgeon. We chat about his 8 to 10 year journey to become a doctor in India. He completed his MBBS from KLE University and his Master of Orthopedic Surgery from Nitte University.
He is as much of an artist at heart as he is a doctor. Although he grew up in the U.A.E, he is now practicing in India, combining his love for the human body with his passion for movement and healing. When he is not in the OR or consulting with patients, you'll find him beatboxing, creating digital art, or capturing life through his lens. Fitness isn't just a hobby for him it's a way of life, and he is deeply invested in the science of sports medicine and recovery. In this talk he is excited to share a bit of his journey as a Doctor in India, his thoughts on the intersection of art and science, and everything in between.
2. Learning from Ideas and Questions
Maybe MORII is the reason we have this strong desire to capture a fleeting moment #DictionaryofObscureSorrows.
3. Learning from Books, Websites and Blogs
This week I spent some time reading the archives of Ali Abdaal’s newsletter called #Lifenotes. Here is a description from Ali’s website that has 6 years of his writing available for free.
LifeNotes is a weekly (ish) email where I share notes from books I’ve read, podcasts I’ve listened to and experiences I’ve had along my journey of business and life. It’s a real-time way of hearing about the best of what I’m learning, as I learn it. It’s 100% free, always will be, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
This is why I love #learningontheweb. You have access to so many opportunities to learn from the best minds of the world for free. My two favourite articles I read this week were Average Speed vs Maximum Speed (Dec 2018) and Hedonic Adaptation (Apr 2018).
4. Learning from Films, Videos and Shows
There is horror, comedy, drama and romance recommendation in this video list of my top 5 television shows. I love a good show that keeps me engrossed and has relatable characters.
5. Learning from Podcasts and Music
Heard an amazing talk between Kunal Shah (from CRED) X Shailendra Singh (from Peak XV Partners) on #BusinessModels and #BusinessMoats. Here is the full episode from the Peak XV Partners Youtube Channel @ https://lnkd.in/gCs8gXmA.
Sketchnotes are rich visual notes created from a mix of handwriting, drawings, hand-lettering, shapes, and visual elements like arrows, boxes, and lines. Created a few #ASsketchnotes to document my #learningontheweb.
